Purple over red?

Geek I'm having a colorist block. My friend has red hair loreal 5.62, which has faded quite a bit in parts. She wants to go purple loreal 4.20
This purple can just go straight on the top of the red right?

I did this with my niece I added in some violet mix when using the 4.20 also just to give the purple an extra kick xx

Try a strand test first. Theoretically, it should cover nicely but it probably won't be very vibrant.

Thanks thought it would be fine. Not too bothered about vibrancy just so long as it has that shine x

To get a true 4.20, you will need to perform a gentle cleanse first to remove the .62 with effasor and hot water.
