Hi , one of my grannys has had a dark purple patch appear in her hair , her hair is natural and white . Im worried because shes due in for a perm in a few days and im not here inbetween ! Any idea what it could be ? Im leaving instructions to test the hair but not sure how the other staff will cope with that !

Does she use purple shampoo?

Maybe check porosity?

have u got a photo of it? x

Has the hair been previously permed?

Check to see if she uses colour mousse
I had a client who's hair went blue/violet, when the perm solution was on, but when we neutralised it disappeared, the only thing she ever used on her hair other than shampoo and conditioner, was blueberry coloured mousse

I'm thinking it is some type of coloured mouse/shampoo that has grabbed on a porous area, especially if the hair is permed the product itself may not have been a purple colour. I'd try first cleansing it out with shampoo and if still there use a chelating product like malibu c in remove any traces of metals or other build up.
