Hi,
Can any geeks help me out here??? I have been using OPI Clarite for about a yr on my client, however recently I changed to NSI Attraction acrylic, so have used this twice on my client over the old product. I did a rebalance on Monday and Tuesday morning her finger tips and only finger tips and under free edge were red and sore, they then developed into red blister type things!! they are clearing now but still obvious, I don't know what to suggest as I don't know what it is.... I guess an allergic reaction but to what???
Can anyone help please??

Not being a doctor, honestly, I can't give proper medical advice.........

But, as a nail tech, I would say that she has either come into contact with something in her everyday life-or, perhaps more likely, she has become sensitive to the new brand.

Once cured, there is nothing that should irritate her further in regards to the enhancements that she is already wearing. I once had this happen to me and it turned out to be a new brand of primer.....

Tell her to visit her doctor to be sure. Let us know what you find out.

i used to get the same thing with the opi clarite, so i switched to absolute and i get it only occasionally now. I thought it might be the glue i was using but i don't know. I have just taken off some extensions and have red itchy blisters under some of my nails free edge, i also get them on my fingers too.

I've never had that with the new Absolute... the Clarite range isn't distributed here, but I will check it later.

So what do you think i should suggest? they are clearing but she has a rebalance in a couple of wks. she was due to have a soak off then a new set! I'm not sure what service to offer her now. Do you think i should try each product out one at a time over a few days? or just do soak off??
Advice would be really great x x x

I don't know the NSI products I only know for the OPI ones, sorry

Did you use a primer?

Yes I did use primer. I'm trying to work out what product could have touched her finger tips and why didn't she get it anywhere else?? In all the yrs of nails... 6! i've never had anything like this. What do you think I should do at the next appointment???

could you remove them and wait for them to heal and then try out the different brands using one finger nails for each and then take notes and see what happens.i dont think its worth doing anything untill its cleared up as you may not know if she reacted to anything if you try out something.
hope that makes sense.
i use nsi products and im sure if called them they would be happy to help there number is 0500 131 009.
good luck and let us know how you get on.x
