OK so I have a girl interested in renting my nail desk from me....

I think she may just be perfect for it and I think she is keen....

But how much do you charge??

I rent a chair out just now for £40 a day and I would say earning potential in that day is probably around £300...So if the nail girl was gonna do nails at £35 a set, 1 hour and 30 mins to do a set so could do....say 5 in a day = £175...so should I charge her about £20-£25 a day? Or a percentage?

I'm no good with this stuff cos nails ain't my "thing" and I don't know anyone apart from my geeky mates that will know about this all.

:D thank you all in advance :D

Is she likely to do 5 sets per day at £35 each every day? If not, then £100+ a week for a nail desk seems a lot but it depends on your area. My nail lady pays me £50 per week (all inclusive, i.e. rent, rates, electricity, water, etc). I think it’s pretty much the going rate around here (Wakefield). You may well be able to get more in your area.
I may be wrong (am no expert) but I think the rent for a nail desk is usually quite a bit less than a hairdressing chair.
It’s weird - I have a room available to rent to a beauty therapist but no-one is interested once I tell them the cost… I’m offering it at £100 per week all inclusive but can’t get any takers, I guess they think it’s too expensive. I think what I am trying to say is, if you can get someone to pay the rate you’re looking for then that’s great but if you can’t then, like me, you end up stuck with an empty space.

I used to pay 25 pounds a week when I rented space in a salon, that was 5 years ago but it was dirt cheap even then! and they used to make my clients coffee and do my bookings for me (not a good thing necessarily!) It was quite a small salon but I didn't often do 5 sets a day, even on a busy day...

Thx 4 ur input. shes pretty busy atm with her own clients, so im confident she wil b busy, maybe not 5 days a week but def a few days a week. i think id want at least 15 a day, bearing in mind i am willing to help her build clientele, and to be honest 15 a day is nothing to me at all. its food for thought, might see what she says as she has rented before. x

hiya, I am i kirkcadly and I rent a space, a small room for waxing etc ( very small room ) and my nail desk is out the front, I am paying £25 a day, I am there a thur and sat so its around £200 a month, if I was to want to fo more days, I wouldnt be looking to stay where I was as for the 5 days it would be £125 a week, or around £400 per month, I could probably rent a small shop for this. It's a hard one, but I suppose it would be better to have some income from this space than none, maybe work out a pricing structure whereby the more days she does, the daily rate is reduced?? If I was offered it at £15 a day, I would be more than happy hth xx

if she has regular clients she wont be doing full sets very often, they will all be maintenance appointments so you would get a more realistic idea of potential earnings by calculating from her rebalance price.

cant really help with price but

bearing in mind i am willing to help her build clientele, and to be honest 15 a day is nothing to me at all.

hopefully her clientele will also utilise your services too so even if you have to settle on a little less than the full price you wanted there may be other knock on benefits to consider to make it up a little too
