Renting a Chair

Hi ladies

I am looking for a bit of advice if you can h elp
I have a meeting tomorrow night with a lady that owns a salon for me to rent a chair so to speak in her salon
Basicaly I will be working self employed in her salon doing her clients
I have been working for over 1 yr mobile but this is the first salon position
I have gone for and am looking for any advice on what I should be asking?what percentage should I be paying?
what conditions/ contract should I be looking for?

Hi Donna,

It wll really depend on if you are supplying you own products or if you will be using the salons, I have worked in a salon on a % basis and I paid 20% to start with then up to 30% as I got busier (I used my own produts), the only thing I would say is as you are taking over the owners clients then they are not yours to take if you ever move on or open your own place which is what happened to me so I basically had to start from scratch again.
