Ok, I have a really hard timewith ratios. My training was terrible and my tutor is "too busy" for one on one time.

Thank god for this site or Id be way worse off...

Maybe I should also try a new brush out, i use a flat brush and it seems most techs use a longer pointed brush like the ultra sculpter. Maybe i should try one like that...

The Ultra Sculptor is indeed a superb brush, but is is also a flat brush if you want it to be. I seldom ever work with it in a point.

You should be able to tell what the mix ratio is going to be before even before you lay down the bead. You should know when it is right by looking at it on the brush. I appreciate you should have been taught how to do this but if you haven't, you must teach yourself what to look for for your particular system or ... maybe someone here who uses the same system can help you?

If you KNOW you are working too wet from the problems you are experiencing, then keep your brush in the powder a little longer, and make sure you always start with the same amount of liquid.

There is a tutorial here on the site entitled 'getting the right mix' ... look in the tutorial section of the site.

Thanks ladies, ill keep practicing.

The course I took was an NSI course. I wonder if they'd be interested to know how poorly that educator is teaching the course.

Im looking to do a gel course now and hoping the educator will be much better.
