Salon Observations?? Live on the Wirral

Has anyone bin into a salon to gain some extra knowledge and possibly experience after finishing their course?
How useful was it?
I finished my 2 day course in August and I'd love to go into a salon and observe, pick up some tips and find out what I'm doing right and wrong.

I was really lucky and I got a p/t job in a salon just before I qualified. I started off just making appoints and answering phones and as soon as my certs came thru I moved on to doing treatments.

It was fantasically helpful although I have to say NOT well paid! I actually stayed for 18mths and got some incredibally useful experience. I didnt really like working for someone else and was very frustrasted with how the owner did business, so in the end I left to start up on my own.

It was the best thing I did, gave me so much confidence and a lot of support from the other therapist in my early nervous days - great for tips and tricks too.

I did this for a while once I had completed some training and was starting new training. I enjoyed the 3 months and I did learn a few things including how to run a not so clean and tidy ship. Now I am on my own I can be as pernickity about cleanliness as I like.
