Hi, I've noticed that there's a lot of mentions about nailfresh and scrubfresh, but i have no idea what these products are. A quick Google search didn't help either! Can anyone post a link, or tell me who they are made by so i can go and check them out for myself?!

Ta!! :) xx

They're both products from CND. Scrubfresh is a prep liquid that dehydraytes and leaves pathogen fighters behind on the nail plate. Nail Fresh is also a dehydrator but doesn't have the pathogen fighters, but because it is Ether based it is brilliant for tidying up polish!

Thanks for your help! By dehydrator do you mean it just gets rid of any product residue on the nail or does it actually dry out the nails?

(Love your avatar btw!!! - YUM!)

Scrubfresh dehydrates the natural oils from the nail plate that would cause lifting if not dehydrated,
so no need for the , it is a good thing and a fantastic product,
you can get it from Sweet Squared 0845 210 6060 hth

I also had never heard of these products until I was on this site. And a check with my suppliers found they do not supply these items.

I would like to know if these products are like the antibacterial I was taught to use and if primer does a similar thing?

Also what does it mean by...
Nail Fresh... tidying up polish!
Is it a nail polish remover & is this it's only use???

Nail Fresh is not a polish remover, but it is awesome for neatening up your polishing. I have a small kolisnky brush from an art shop that I dip in the NF if I need to make a the white of a french manicure neater, or the cuticle line of a dark polish more even. NF doesn't dissolve the polish so instead on smudging it, the polish line becomes sharper and neater.

Thanks Vetty :)

I am still confused though, I was taught to spray the nails with antibacterial wash before beginning prep then apply primer prior to acrylic application.

I'm still wondering where Scrubfresh and Nailfresh would fit it in to my prep work.

Does it depend on the product I use as to whether or not I use antibacterial & primer (as taught) or Scrubfresh & Nailfresh??

I know I sound goofy not knowing this... but when I do a search I cannot find the answers I seek...

Scrubfresh is a temporary nail plate dehydrator, used mainly during prep but also to remove the inhibition layer from Brisa gels. Scrubfresh leaves pathogen fighters on the nail plate which actively fight to keep away infections (greenies etc). It helps not only with adhesion of enhancement products but also enamel on the natural nail too.

Nailfresh is also a dehydrator when used during prep, it can be combined with Scrubfresh to create a 'super prep', aka Scrubfresh sandwich on the nail. It removes oil and also moisture from the natural nail prior to both enhancements and also when applying enamel. It's fantastic to use when tidying up the nails if you make an error or two while polishing.

You can read more about both products on the main cnd.com website but hope the above helps for now :green:

Would I be able to use SF and NF on the silk system?

It's always advisable to use the prep products recommended for your particular system, however Scrubfresh and Nailfresh are fine to use with silks and fibreglass, I've used them with 3-4 different fibreglass systems and had no problems at all :green:

Hi

You wouldnt necessarily need scrubfresh in your application, if you dont use creative products. As peeps have said scrub fresh is a dehydrator used for creative products, we apply this in our prep and then add primer if needed depending on what l & p or gel you use. So if you are not creative trained then you probablu wouldnt have heard of these. You can only buy them from sweet squared if you are a professional. Thanks.
