Setting up home salon? Advice please!

Hi
I want to convert an outbuilding in my garden into a room for me to work from home. I called my council to ask about the regulations and rules. They told me I don't have to go through them and to contact business link. Which I did, they said an advisor would call me back but I have heard nothing.

Can anyone advise me on the procedure and what to do next and who I should be speaking to ?

i am doing the same thing just now,
i rang my local council and they said as long as i wasn't changing the building in anyway.. and its one client in and one out i was fine..
i own the house but not sure if rented is any different.

i have an accountant to do all the paperwork for me.
i work mobile now, nut due to pregnancy i'm setting up at home from oct 1st i'll just start from home..
i hope i'm doing it right too now lol xx

That's exactly the same reason for me doing it! I'm sure your doing the right thing!
