whilst doing nails today i inadvertantly buffed off shine on several of my own nails - am currently wearing shellac (love it!)

I have absolutely no time in next few days to reapply, and was wondering whether i could just reapply top coat to reshine? Does anyone know whether this would work or do i need to completely redo? Obviously this is not something i would to do a client, it is just to get me through the weekend!

Yes it would work perfectly!!

I do it all the time... I'm forever filing my own index nail when doing everyone elses

thanks karen, you angel! do i need to do any prep or just reapply top coat?

I usually just give them a really quick wipe with some scrubfesh and top coat and they're perfect again :)

I have done this too but I wipe over with the D-Sperse not the scrubfresh as that has acetone in it.kx

Whoops yes, meant to say isopropyl alcohol is what I use not scrubfresh

thanks girls - you may have just saved my saturday night!

If you use LUMOS top coat, you will get the same high shine as Shellac too!
