Shellac and Acrylic Nail Art

please don't shoot me down, would it be classed as 'Messing' if I used my acrylic stripers to make nail art on top of the shellac colour, should it really only be shellac colours used to do this??

I dont think it would be classed as 'messing'. It might increase your removal time if you add extra coats of top coat etc.
