Shellac pulls away from the cuticle

When using Shellac, after applying basecoat, I apply the light pink (French Mani) and it "pulls away" from cuticles and sidewalls while drying, leaving it uneven. Unacceptable. I make sure nails are clean of all lotion before applying.
 
sounds like you are applying too thick, what lamp are you using also? x
 
Just out of intrest when you say drying, you mean curing, right?? as shellac does not dry as such :confused:
 
yes I think I agree with Katies comment above, could you be applying too thick?
Shellac is the main service I do now and I don't find this problem.

Make sure you really shake the bottle before the application. Shake, shake, shake!
