I have trained to do shirodhara although haven't done many treatments.

I have one booked for Friday and have a brand new hand held pot rather than the suspended one that I have used, and haven't used it yet.

My question is, what do you use to create the continuous flow? I was told to use natural cotton thread, but don't know where to get that from.

Last time I did a treatment I actually used a shoe lace, but there has to be something better to use surely?

ohh ann
never heard of this , what is it? and whats it for ??

Id use a wick, you know like what you put into a candle! Im sure this is what my educator used when I did Comp Therapies, and Im sure she said they come in different thicknesses!
T'was a long time ago though so dont quote me on that!

Hi Hippy-Chick

I had heard of this treatment but courtesy of beautynails I have actually had a chance to see it in action via video. It looks and sounds fantastic I could have gone back to sleep just watching the video:zzz:, but then I am really into alternative/holistic treatments and therapys.

I know reiki, chakras, etc are not everyones cup of tea but they fascinate me. Good luck with your new treatment, if I lived near to you I would love to come and pay a visit to your treatment rooms.

Good luck with this treatment!

thanks for that everyone! off to watch the video!!!

the wick sounds like a fab idea, thanks.
