I am wondering how much "stress area" building you geeks do when creating a very short natural nail gel overlay? Do you just overlay like polish, or do you actually build a nail. I can't seem to get the free-edge looking natural/thin enough when doing the shorter nails, mostly when doing a french nail. I use IBD gels. Thanks geeks!

I don't build the nail very much at all if they are very short - this is after reading a post by Geeg saying it wasn't necessary as they weren't under stress like a longer nail.

I also taper the white during application to ensure a nice free edge.

I use Brisa but I assume that the same rules would apply. HTH

hi ya ditto with adele

I DONT build in any stress area unless they are LONG.

If its just a short free edge your fine (on most peeps if they are coming 2/3 weeks).

Once that nail gets tooooo long then yes you'll need to 'build' more strength in there.

You'll know / they'll know when they get past their 'managable' length and need some extra strength building in.
