Should I be worried?

So up until a week ago, I was the only Bio technician in the salon. Then the salon hired a new woman who also does Bio.

She works only on weekdays because she had a kid to take care of, and I only work weekends because I have school on weekdays.

Today I noticed that she had an appointment on Sunday. I asked her about it, and she said that her weekday client insisted on having her do her nails, so I was okay with that.

However, today I was told by two girls that she told her client that she's the only gel technician. She also apparently never mentions my name when clients want to make an appointment on a weekend and instead tries to get them to come in on a weekday.

I don't know what to think... I can't tell if it's just a misunderstanding or not.

I have my own nail art blog, I have a cute self designed business card, I keep my nails show off my art ablities, and I make sure my client leaves satisfied.

Would I be okay just keeping this up, or should I be doing more?

Well, it sounds like you may have to have a sit down with this lady and work out a system, put up a poster on the wall with days and times that you both work so that clients can see it and they can make an informed decision. Xx

I, personally would not want 2 different girls doing my nails so I wouldn't worry about it. The ladies you do will stay with you if you are doing a good job and visa versa. I would concentrate on building my own clients and, maybe do the same as her and not mention her to your clients. I think you have the advantage anyway with the hours that you work. :)

Thanks to both of you!
Yeah, I talked to my boss about it and she agreed that it's unfair. She said that she'll talk about it (because she never listens to me). Hopefully we do work out a system, because I really don't want a negative environment...
