Hey guys! So i am finally going to sleep train my son who is 1. I am nervous!
At the minute he sleeps 8 to 8 waking once through the night and i give him a drink of water. A couple of weeks ago he was ill with a virus and then got chicken pox on top of that and i always put him in bed with me when he is ill for my sake really. He's better now and i think this is the right time to get him to sleep through.
I have read loads on the internet and spoken to my health visitor and i think i am going to try the method where i stand outside the bedroom reassuring him i am there and not going in and picking him up. I do have mixed feelings about all of this, i think its harsh but then i think it might make him more independent and we will both have a better nights sleep!
I was wondering if any of you mums have any tips or advice for me? How did you get your little ones to sleep through in their own bed? I could really do with some as i need a bit more confidence in this whole sleep training thing! Thanks in advance X
