hi, i have a client who would like bio sculpture gel toes soaked off. as i do not use this product, just wondered if someone could tell me the best way to do this. i presume you soak off in acetone but whats the easiest way with toes?!
Thanks in advance

By using foil and cotton wool soaked in acetone.

On toes I use one larger piece of cotton wool soaked in acetone and placed across the top of the toe nails and one large piece of foil that can be wrapped around the foot, and then wrap a towel around - 10 minutes and your done.

Try and buff the shine off the Bio gel before applying the cotton wool as this will help too.

thanks for your reply. is there a special nail tech foil or does normal household foil do the trick?

Yes, normal foil does the trick. I use the same system of buffing the surface of the gel first, but once I place the gel remover-soaked cottonwool on each toe, I wrap each one individually with foil before wrapping the feet with a towel to keep them warm and speed up removal.

Well I used to do them that way - individual ones on each toe but always had a problem in getting the foil on each toe tight enough to stay on to be effective.

It is just so much easier with the one foil around the toes and less faffing around too.

Do you squish one large piece around all the toes once you have balanced the pieces of cottonwool on the toes? How far up the foot does the foil go? I have been doing it successfully my way for 6 years but will try this as it is always good to find new ways of doing things that may speed it up.

I get a piece of foil about 10 - 15 cm square. Once the cotton wool has been soaked and placed over the nails I then put the clients foot on top of the piece of foil with once corner pointing out in front of the toes. I then fold that corner over the toes and then fold all the other corners in, so the foil probably covers 3 quarters of the foot.

Hope that all makes sense.

Hi - thanks for that. Do you use 5 separate pieces of soaked cottonwool or just one large rectangular one?

Will give it a whirl. Thanks for sharing your tips.
