Hi, i was wondering if anyone could help me out and explain the differences in tanning machines. What is HVLP and what is a compressor machine? I have looked into purchasing a spray tanning machine but quickly became confused. And could anyone recommend a machine to me as there seem to be so many out there. I have been to my local wholesalers and they have 2 machines there, 1 is tantruth and the other is sunglo. Has anyone heard of these machines at all?

Thank you for reading this, hopefully someone will have the answers x

Hi hun,

I have a HVLP machine and this is the machine with the gun (which has the cup attached to the gun) And a compressor has a very small gun ( which i would call the needle) its mainly silver. This would be airbrushing you can use either but with a compressor they are more expensive and can also be used for body airbrush and also nail airbrushing.

I prefer HVLP machines i use the duo mist from couture and its fantastic! Never let me down. If you want to know how much it is pm me.
xx

HVLP is high volume low pressure,
these types are the more popular ones amongst spray tanners,
they apply a full body tan in around 5 Min's,

the compressors are more fiddly and technical, they apply a full body tan in around 15 Min's and use more solution than an HVLP

Tantruth and Solglo are the brand names under which the suppliers of the solutions give them,
they will each have a model number that will give you the true name of each machine,
the T200 is one of the more popular and very reliable machines that a lot of therapists swear by,
it is small, uses very little liquid per tan, hardly any over-spray is created with this one,
if you have any further questions feel free to ask them here and i will be happy to answer you publicly, hth

Thank you soooo much, you have been a life saver! x
