Wondering if anyone can help.....

a client popped in the other day for her first re-balance of Brisa gel. She had been a nail biter for years and after one set of l&p we managed to grow her own nails , but out of personal choice she wanted to try a gel overlay. I noticed though when she came in on tuesday for her first rebalance, she had what appeared to be 'splinter haemorages' on four of her nails. Little black splinter marks falling down the barrel of the underside of her nail. I can't seem to find much online to help detail what they are.
Suppose I'm worried I've been too rough when working on her nails, but most of my clients comment on how gentle I am. ...Please someone help  my client is very laid back about it, but I'm annoyed incase it's something I've done.

dont worry!!!!! Its not you! I have been a very bad biter in the past and have gone to great lengths to find the solution to keeping nails on. The reason for the black lines is because she is firstly, not used to the length (and knocks/pulls/flicks them) and secondly, she has to replace her nail biting habit. My guess is she flicks her nails/plays with them all the time. Beware, this can progess to picking the gel/acrylic or if she picks and sucks them water will get under and they will beginto lift. Another favis squashing the tip beween the teeth....resultng in a split down the centre of the nail. Ouch! know this is all very gross, however, likely scenarios with nail biters. She would not be worrie about the lines as is prob verygratful that you are takin the time to help her. Keep her nails short. She will prob turn out to be your best client. Dont be offended if your hard works doesnt look good next time she visits.......Nail biting is a horrible habit, and if shes one it for so long, her natural nails prb will never be good on their own again. Believe me, a simple thing like having some nails, and perhaps the reasurance that her nail girl can help her out, will give her all the confidence in the world. Many a tech cant be bothered with the nail biter as they cant empathise with them. Believe me, you could actually change this lady's life for the better x I have found the best products for nail biters out of personal research.....feel free to msg me if you get frustrated down the track. ps, I find the wet preps work best
