Oo I may give it a go :)

I use ACG and Gelish and find no difference at all. Some people's nails chip whatever they have on them, even with nothing on them. Solar oil is great and I always advise clients to use it but doubt if they all do!

I see her tomorrow eve, so I will give her a solar oil pinkie bottle with the strict instructions of there is no excuse now NOT to oil!

HI,
I just assumed ACG is the cause as I have had one person who complained of this before. I use ACG sucessfully on lots of clients, its truly a great product.
This client has never had enhancements nor anything else, she was just NNO. After reading through some of the threads on here about splitting nails, I guess there are just some people who dont get on with either ACG or shellac. (or any other gels for that matter) Maybe because their nails would naturally split just past the free edge anyway, or maybe its just the chemical makeup of their nails.
Im just flapping a bit about what to do with the remaining ACG left on her nails, and how to make them look a bit prettier without doing further damage ?
I believe the best way is a healthy nail from the start. You cannot put acrylic, gels, shellac on a client who has weak nails. You are pretty much begging for problems, at least this is my perspective on the situation. I of course am more of a natural nail specialist. I will do client's nails however they want but if they have less then healthy nails I warn them that they should not EXPECT perfect results. I have no probem using shellac if the client gets their nails in shape first.
