Spray Gun Needle

Hiya Geeks

Just wondering how often the spray gun needle should be replaced? I have been spray tanning since April 09 and even though I clean the gun thoroughly every week I am beginning to think the needle needs to be replaced - flow is not as good as it should be......

I know you said you clean the gun every week but have you taken the needle out and cleaned it?

there is no need to replace the needle unless they get bent just give it a good clean by unscrewing the knurled nut at the back of the gun fully remove the spring pull the trigger and the needle will come out if pulled,you may need to use a pair of pliers topull it out of the gun housing
use a light abrasive (green pad) to clean the shaft of the needle smear a light coat of vaseline on the needle and replace
be carefull not to over tighten the nut when rebuilding as this is usually the cause of needle bending :cry:hth
