hi there just a quick question. i done my spray tanning with fake bake years ago and they taught to spray tan verticle then i done another course couple years later with sunlabs which taught horizontal and was totlly different like not sprayin feet and hand only when you do arms from back. just wondered what other sprayers think the best way to spray is i can do both but just wondered what you think better and gives best results.

i say however you are comfortable doing it - I do it Horizontal as i think its a more even coverage but i sometimes spray vertically afterwards at a distance to make sure i got it evenly. As for the feet i do spray them making sure to hold back from getting the ankle again and the hands i do seperately making sure i ask client to spread hand out do fingers and then thumb. HTH

we train to go vertical and to have the gun set at 6 o clock and to spray in 4 positions starting with the back and moving the client as little as possible we do the back of the hands when the client is forward facing with fingers spread apart and we mask the palms with the buffing mit and go horizontaly across the wrist
a great saying of mine is (just because some people do things differently to you doesnt mean there doing it wrong)
its personal preferance

It is personal preference. I personally prefer to spray horizontal. I find it follows the contours of the body better especially around the neck and chest areas :)
I start with their back facing me and go horizontally down the back. I then go vertically down the legs and down the back of the arms. I then get them to stand facing right and i go horizontally down the side and then vertically down the leg nearest to me. I then ask them to put their leg furthest from me forward so i can get the inside of that leg. Then i do the sides of the arm down to the wrist.
I then do the front of the body and then the left side.
Then i do hands and face.
I've seen people do it lots of ways.
The only way i don't like is when they get them to put their arms above their head to do the arms. If you have someone tall or you are just short then it's a real struggle and you tend to end up with your cup tilted. It's this method that i have seen more patches missed!

It really doesn't matter what way others do it as its very much down to personnel prefrence...so....which of the two ways you have described you can do it works best for you????
