Hello anyone, I am quite new to the site and do find it really helpful but today I am having a moan. I had my Nail bag stolen with all my manicure tools, nail files and Acrylic kit in it this weekend.

I have my final Acrylic assessment on Tuesday and won't beable to do it as I can't afford to buy another one at the moment.

Whoever it was came into my house while I was in and stole my bag, a bottle of whiskey and a bottle of bicardi which makes me think they are kids to steal such things. When they realise what is in the bag they will probably just throw it as they will have no us for it and I can't imagine anyone buying a second hand acrylic kit, or maybe I,m naive.

Anyway I just needed a rant. Cheers.

thats horrible:mad:
try having a word with your tutor you might be able to come to an arrangement for paying for a new kit
hope you get it sorted out
sending you big hugs xxxx:hug::hug::hug:

I think I would be but as I was in the house I had the kitchen window open and the back door was unlocked so I am not sure if they would accept the claim as the house was not secure.

Yeah but you where there in the house have you reported it to the police as you will need the crime number. I should think the insurance would pay out as you where in the house so it was secure.

You poor thing ,how bads that, sorry to there that hun, ask your tutor im shore she will over look whats happend to your kit , maybe she will let you use a class mate for just this one time.xx

Omg Thats So Sad Did You Call The Police And Report It

sorry to hear of your bad news hun big  from me.

i wouldn't be so sure about the kit being used again an internet market place springs to mind

I would try and claim through your insurance, as annemac's post say's it was secure your where in.

good luck hun x

Thanks everyone. I will try to claim for the kit you have given me some confidence to do so. I am sure my tutor will be OK about it I just wanted to get my assessments out of the way this week so I could sort out my paperwork for the last weeks. I thought I was so organised then this happens. As some of you said I don,t understand how some people can be so immoral. Anyway, thank you again.

That realy sucks hun!! If it makes you feel anybetter I had my car stolen and burnt out a couple years ago with all my hair kit in it!! Was stupid of me to leave it in the boot!!!! Hope you can get it all sorted:hug::hug::hug: XXXX

Maybe your tutor will let you have a new kit on the understanding that you will pay for it when you get your insurance money, or by paying a bit a week? Its worth a try.
Sorry to hear about your bad luck, I hate it when this happens to people who are trying hard to better themselves

Is there anything you are desperate for that maybe ive got two of hun
I dont mind sending you some nippers or cuticle knife maybe
thanks

I have just had the same thing happen 2 weeks ago.

I cleaned out my car and put everything into a bag and sat it under my entertainment area out the back to go through later. I went to get my child from school, she had a disco later that night and just totally forgot it was out the back.

At 2 am i woke to noises out the back, i called the police but they didnt see anyone. It wasnt until 10 am the next morning i had realised the bag was missing, along with all my nail stuff. I reported it missing and they gave me a report number.
I was able to claim it on my insurance but it took a week and a half of investigations (apparently now they record your voice so they can analyze it to see if you are lying). Its been hard as i have had to turn clients away as i could not afford to go out and buy products (especially another drill) in the meantime.

They will be very disappointed in what was in the bag, not only was it my nail gear but also various clothes, shoes etc. I have looked in all the parks in the area hoping thay may have just dumped it, but nothing has come up.

Good luck!
