I went to a nail supplier yesterday and had a look at one of these little beauties, she paced monomer on one side and I stuck my nose in the other ...... no stench at all. I retails for $AUS205.

LURACO technologies

Looks almost to good to be true  Maby my boyfriend would give me one for christmas...

It really is brilliant

I have just mailed them to ask how much it will be to send it to Denmark, a girls gotta have what a girls gotta have....
Thanks for sharing though, it's impossible to browse the internet and decide wheter those things are good or bad. To be honest I don't think I would have considered buying it, if i didn't have someone I belive in telling me that it's working....

I ordered one of the chemical fume extractors along with the particle collection system for my Christmas work present.

Does anybody know how much they are?

U.S. $
The dust extractor was $136. the fume extractor is $99. Around another $10 to ship one state over.

Just got the partigone and chem stop today! Cant wait to try them out. And the shipping time from when I ordered was A+ eventhough I live almost half way around the world:green:

May have to strap hubby in a chair and produce a set of nails...

Hi
It looks fab. Could any one give me a link for it please?
Thanks
Sarah xxx

Doh!
I can see it now in Nailzoo`s
Sorri peeps!

Guys... that video was hilarious. He couldn't pronounce half the words, he kept referring to vapours as fumes and talking about the 'toxicity level' (which he couldn't even pronounce but somehow could measure on a computer). I almost wet my pants when he released the monomer 'fumes' into the test chambers. Since when did monomer smoke? Any fan with a filter would have cleaned that test chamber.

I'm sure on some level it may work (about as well as a portable hepa filter), but will need frequent filter replacement and need to be right next to the monomer dish.

My big gripe here is the way its being pitched. It seems that as long as you dress a set that kind of looks 'scientific', use big words (regardless of the context or accuracy) then you can get a lot of people to think you know what you're talking about and hence, buy your product.

That's what happens when an Asian brings out something that a Euro didn't.

Admittedly, it does get lost in translation ... and those that are foolish or ignorant are left behind, because obviously there's no way an Asian can possibly make something that can be beneficial ............ GET REAL.

Since my post .....sooooooo long ago, I have had several emails from people who had faith and actually bought the unit ... and every one of them is flabbergasted at the results.

In all reality, unless you have tried it, tested it (stuck your schnoz on the other side of the fan) and smelled the results, you are more than likely, merely "ignorant" (and that's a shame).

Ho hum.

Samuel ...... try one, put your nose to the test, then pass comment, until then.... well basically, you haven't had the experience to comment

I have been e-mailing back and forth with Luraco for a few weeks now because I really wanted to get this product in the store. Professionals here don't want to use l&p because of the vapour smell - so I thought if I could give them a product to remove it, I would be gold! My problem is that they only have an electrical rating for CE or Europe's 220V Chemstop. Legally we in Canada and the US can't sell it without the proper rating. They make the bleeding things in the US so I can't understand why they wouldn't have it rated properly for their own country! If we sell one and it causes a fire, we would get our butts sued off!

I found another product that I ordered called Smelleze Nail Salon Deodorizor Pouch. It is an all natural product that absorbs odor. Its made especially for the salon and apparenlty all you have to do to refresh it is put it in the microwave or 4 mins or out in the sun all day. I can't wait to try it and its really inexpensive. For an xxlarge package it was $30 including shipping.

If you want to have a look go to Odor, pollution and moisture control products eliminate odors and pollutants. Its in the 3rd column from the left.

I really, really hope it works!

At least you are willing to try it, I hope you like it and have some degree of success, please post your thoughts "after" trying it. I'd be really interested to hear from someone who had actually tried a product, rather than pre-judging it.

WTF? What does 'asian' have to do with my comment or the item in question? where did Asian even come into this? AFAIK it is a product made in the USA that is being sold on pseduo facts.

Let me requote my post

If that product works filter free then I would like to purchase one as I turn over filters for my spray tan room so quickly and would love to elimate the smell and have tried so many things to minimise overspray. I fortunetly do not need it for my nailbar as even with 3 of us going solid through the summer we do not have an odour problem - dust is a problem tho - does it suck that up?

Sam were you not working on a desk with filters once..............?

thats inference ..........., is it inference of lesser intelligence, inference of lesser intelligence through lack of understanding of the English language (that many butcher), pronunciation is something we can all learn (and then it depends on locale)

You say Tomato, I say tomatoe, depends on where you are indoctrinated/brainwashed from. English is English, it's not the American version of.

If you said "Newcastle" here in AUS, people would pee them selves laughing (no matter how correct you thought yourself). Does that make you any lesser person? ..... Not in my books, but apparently pronunciation maketh the man to you (perhaps you should be more worldly) or internationally understanding of pronunciation) no matter which country butchers it more than the other. Try the word "Aluminium" as an international example.

It's a great product and (I have actually tried it, so I know) if Creative had done it, or you stocked it, it would be a different matter.

You actually have to try some thing first, imagine if someone slagged off Creative that hadn't tried it? (that's the ballpark we are in) and I'm sure you would defend (even belittle to the enth degree someone that had judged, yet not tried a product).

So I guess in this case and in all other cases) it's better to listen to someone that has actually tried it, rather than someone who hasn't.

I guess if it was Creative and the gods had made it, we'd be bowing down to it rather than having it sitting on our desks doing it's job.

The inference I made was that the guy presenting the video was positioned as a scientist/lab tech who was educating us on matters he couldn't even pronounce.

In order to 'discredit' my experience and PoV you inferred that I was trying to say he was Asian. How (or why) would anyone have thought that from watching the video? I guess to try and discount my views, you were inferring that I was racist? Got me.

Now you are inferring that I don't like it because I don't sell it? I can't have an educated opinion on the matter because I am not profiting from it?

While you may be OK to accept that monomer smokes and this product reduces the toxicity of that smoke, I don't. I believe that products should be sold on their merit and technically accurate information. As I mentioned above, a filtration unit (which I do have a lot of experience with) will greatly help reduce odours (especially when positioned so close to the source) but the marketing in the video is incorrect and I call it like I see it (without trying to twist and distort).

He's obviously not Asian (that can be seen in the video). So that's one point down the drain, which also discounts any racism issue (another down the drain).

I've tried it, you haven't ....... blah blah blah blah blah

Sorry, i'm bored now ......, it's cost is less that a litre of the most expensive liquid/monomer in the world (yours), and your MSDS quotes "use adequate ventilation" and this offers a solution .......people can make their own decisions.

HPMA is the most allergenic acrylate in the world ....... CAS no 27813-02-1 , according to a 10 year study on Acrylates, even more than MMA
OEESC2 Abstract Poster 106

Most studies are done in the dental industry (seems the nail business can't be bothered)

Perhaps Doug can enlighten us on this subject, and explain the CAS number confusion (if any).

I think we should do what we can to rid our immediate environment of dust and toxins.

Our banter so far has been about 30 mins apart, i'd expect this answer to take several hours.

I hope Doug is awake

I've never seen my monomer do that, that's for sure
There is a difference between saying words "correctly" and just making them up out of thin air. Toxivity isn't a word.. I would give the benefit of the doubt IF the guy hadn't said it several times. :irked:
