Summer Nail/Body Art

Hi everyone,

Just need an opinion on some Nail/Body art. Unsure if I should have put this in a different forum so I apologise now if I have.

Anyway, I have to do a competition on 28th April, and the theme is Summer.

I have an idea of what I want to do, Daisies. Everyone is doing flowers etc but I don't want to take on anything too complex as we only get 1hr and a half.

I really like it like that but have no idea what I could put on the hand and other 3 fingers..... I tried a big daisy... (bit rushed as we were about to leave the class!) but I am unsure if I like it.....

I have also done them with yellow centres of the flowers but I think I prefer the orange though...

Or there is this but I think I prefer daisies as it would match the arm theme then....

lovely idea, maybe the big daisy in the middle could be a bit much, what about making the daisies into a daisy chain? i'm also sure that daisies have round petals?

Yeah they do, i just like the 'daisy' colours, so I just call them daisies :lol:
How would I make it into a daisy chain effectively? (sorry if I'm being a bit dense!)

Lovely and i also prefer the orange centre (bit more original)
for the daisy chain theme you could do the daisy's a bit smaller,
starting at the top knuckle of the pointing finger then one in the middle of the back of the hand, the next one on the wrist bone that sits above the pinky finger and then follow on by painting them so that they go up and around the arm,
hope you understand what i mean, its not so easy to explain things in type rather than on a personal level :hug:

or you could do really small daisies adding the green stem in between each one and painting it as a chain going up and around the arm hth

Kind of like a snake around the arm? Would I need a background colour for that though?

Yes hun like a snake,
as for the colour background you would have to have a practise and see what you think, a really pale green would look nice possibly hth

oooh I might try that tomorrow on my sister (she is my model!), I am going to buy some cheap facepaint as I haven't ordered my grimas paints yet as I don't get paid til tonight

Very nice! Hopefully the Grimas paints will arrive soon, as they should give better coverage than the cheap face paints and be less patchy.

I did have all the flowers linked together but it didnt look right, was thinking of just doing the chains on the thumb, middle and pinky fingers

Having the daisies in a chain adds a little more structure to your design, looking very nice :hug:

Maybe if you add some greens.
Vines or even just petals, or both.

Ah cool, Snaz are easy enough to use, just wet a brush and swirl it in the paint...
