Tan splattering

Me again.

on friday I done a spray tan on a client and it went perfect using la gold.

Saturday morning my new order of gold, 12 and 18 had come. desperate to try it I sprayed myself with 12. My body went fine, no patches or anything. Then come to my face. it looked as if it was spitting the tan out on my face, there was dark spots of tan all over my face and a few white small dots as well. panicing I wiped it off quick. though maybe the 12 is a bit thicker. adjusted the gun and tried again. same thing happened. wiped it off again.
tried on some kitchen roll when adjusting, i had turned it gradually down and gradually up but it wasnt changing.

so decided to rinse it with water and use the la gold which Ive never had that happen. It done it with the gold as well!!!

My face had no make up or moisturiser on so I am baffled. why would it go like that on my face, it was fine spraying everywhere else?

From L A Tanning range I have only ever tried the 12%.......I had the same result. So never used it again.
Although I hear loads on here saying how good it is, you are the only other person I have heard of getting the freckleing effect the same as me???? It didn't matter how I turned my gun nozzle it still happened, I too thought it may have been thicker.
But with all the other good words on this product.......Maybe we had a bad batch?????
I will give it another try now.

I use LA Tan 12% and it is really popular with my clients. I haven't had any problems with it as yet and just received my second bottle. My clients seem to love it.

I am trying out the LA Disco tonight on a client, can't wait.

i have absolutely no other problems with the la tan. been using la gold for 6 months and love it.

just thought it was wierd that the 12 sprayed my body lovely then my face looked freckly then when i tried my good old gold it done the same

maybe it was just my face haha

maybe it was, i have always used la gold and that is fantastic, i love it and my clients.
did the 12 spray you freckley everywhere or just your face? when i sprayed my body with the 12 it went on perfect, i didnt do any changes and it sprayed my face freckly!
rather baffled!

I have only trialled the LA Gold once which was on my sister who was quite brown anyway. She phoned me the next day to say that she thought she looked quite orange but I think that this may be because she was quite brown in the first place.

I am not using it on clients at the moment until I trial it again on somebody else, just need to find a guinea pig.

i have used the la gold for about 6 months now and not had anyone go orange as yet. I must admit I do love la tan. just trying to work out if theres something up with me or my machine

I have been told LA 12% has there signiture double dip colour guide, meaning the tacky layer will wash off. Try it again and bear with it, let it develop and you should have a allover lovely colour. I love the LA gold and always get my sister to spary me with it, its a lovely golden sunkissed look. Great for pasty peeps like me!

Im waiting for my friend to scrub off her old tan so I can try the 12 or disco on her :lol:
I tried turning the gun up an down an it still sprayed speckly. the day before it was working perfectly and it sprayed my body fine.
Going to test it again tonight after another clean through, just on my face.
your clients that use 12 do they go a darker colour than the la gold once they have washed the tacky layer off?

i have disco and just ordered another 2 litres of it as my clients are loving it and so do i. La gold is a natural golden tan and 12 and 18 and browner tans. La tan told me that !0 and 12 will show up as dark as 18 when first sprayed as there is extra bronzers in the guide colour but when showered they will wash off to be much lighter whereas when the 18 is washed off it stays really dark. i use both gold and disco but they are completely different colours . i would imagine the 12 would definetly be darker than gold but it will also be a totally different colour and be brown rather than golden xxx

i find everyone loves the la gold, seems to suit all skin types. i know quite a few say they would try the darkest. the darker the better they say :lol:
So Im sure they will love the 12 and 18 not tried it on clients yet, my friends will be the guinea pigs.
does the 12 or 18 not look too much on really almost white blonde haired girls? 1 of my clients has really light bleached hair and says she wont go too dark as she thinks it looks funny on really blonde people. I would have thought it just be like a holiday tan on anyone so wouldnt really look funny no matter what colour your hair!
ive read that a couple of people have mixed gold with disco, would love to try that, what percentage would that be do you recon

Thats good, what was the problem then?

I have had great feedback from La gold and also the disco. I have been trying the 10 on myself so that I know from experience what it's like for my clients. I actually got sprayed with the 10% yesterday and washed it off after just 3 hours as an experiment. As expected the colour guide washed straight off and I had no colour. But, even though I washed it off so early I have continued to develop and now have a lovely brown tan!

ive tried disco on my friend and her neck went 2 shades darker than the rest of her! strange. she hadnt got her old tan off properly either but insisted on being sprayed so Im not letting that spray of disco be the judge of what its like.
Ive been mixing gold and disco together and getting a gorgeous colour.

Havent a clue what was up with my gun or anything. I cleaned it as usual, same settings etc maybe i still had some moisturiser on my face or something?

I don't have much experience with LA tan but i got some samples last week and just went for it and got my man to spray disco on me.

I have to say he did slighty over spray on my chest area and i did get that speckly effect that you are talking about. I just left it though and i was totally even the next morning.

It's relly dark but its a gorgeous colour. It went on really well and I'm defo putting an order in this week. xx
