Tanning - Online Training ??

Hi All, I have just joined the forum and wonder if anyone can give me some advice. I currently have a salon offering mainly slimming and I now want to offer tanning as well. The problem is that I live in Mauritius and cannot attend training as there is no-one in Mauritius that offers training. Does anyone know of any on-line training for tanning or another way that I could receive training? Thanks a mill !

Thanks for the suggestion. In fact I have already e.mailed Suntana which is the product that I am considering using (want to order the starter kit). Do you have any experience with Suntana - the alternative that I am considering is Tantrick, but Suntana seems more cost effective.

hi if you go on u tube there are lots of spray tanning guides to watch and as for purchasing the equipment then i would recommend www.shadezspraytan.co.uk as mentioned on this website

It does not matter how many videos you watch they will not compensate for having a trainer in the room to fire questions at,
and watching a video would not gain you a qualification,
surely you need a qualification and insurance even in mauritius

It's a difficult one to answer.
on the one hand there are many individuals who enter this industry and take on board treatments without proper training ...good or bad..well that's down to individuals perspectives.

From purely a professional perspective it is imperative that correct and proper training followed by accreditation is undertaken if you are looking to undertake treatments to the general public..if for no other reason than insurance.

Your situation is a difficult one and I know you have been corresponding with my office recently on this matter.

Certainly accreditation cannot be offered or achieved by watching vid's however it is better to at least gain as much instructional and visual assistance you can if you are in a situation (or country) where there simply is no such training.

I would offer to jump on a plane and come train and certify you (and catch some ray's also:lol however that just is not possible.

From what I am told we have offered to mail you our training manual as a means of offering you some technical instruction at least.....maybe you should consider this as a good "means to an end" given your position.
