Just bought the long blue super shiner file by the edge finally came today i've used it and the bottom layer is wearing off! i've only done 2 nails!!!!!!!!

Does anyone else have one of these has there's done this also.

could it be to do with my cuticle oil maybe?

I have got loads of these and it always wears off quickly they are a waste of money !

Yeah, I bought a pack about four years ago and I still have some somewhere because the rubbery layer came off practically straight away.
Total waste of money...the rest of the pack is floating around my house somewhere!

Ooh i'm angry now.

She can have it back and i shall have my money!
TERRIBLE!

Don't use it with cuticle oil

I get great results with mine, and retail them really well to my customers, they love them!

If there is oil present on the nails it ill definitely destroy the buffer.

If it is happening without any oil then it's just a pants buffer!! :green:

Its just a pants buffer then :green:

I do get great results but i do use it with oil as i was taught to buff cuticle oil in for a extra shiney finish

should i buff it in with a diff buffer then use super shine

Yes .. you don't buff oil in with a buffer like that. Use the 1200 grit side of the CND Koala buffer .. it is made to be used with Solar Oil.

well i got taught to buff oil in and i know lots of people that do different for every product u use i guess, i dont use CND i use NSI

Yes you do buff the oil in but not with a glossing buffer. I believe the NSI chamois buffer might be good for this. Im sure a NSI user will be able to correct me if Im wrong.

I originally trained with 'The Edge' (although have converted to CND now) and I find these shiners to be great. I don't use them with oil because it's not needed you get a great shine without that.
