I did a semi permanent lash extension course on Tuesday, have applied three full sets so far, feeling almost confident... But I've noticed that when I look at my client head on the lashes don't look thick. However side on and every other angle they look great. Obviously when the client gets up the first thing they do is look at the mirror head on and there's an initial disappointment. Is that the norm? Or is there something else I should be doing?

hi there, whar size and curl lashes are you using? Also, how many lashes per eye? I dont tend to use thick lashes, but do put lots on. Volume tends to look more noticeable. The 02 and .25's are great if the natural lashes can take them though.

If you're wanting a WOW factor from straight on, you might want to use a C Curl. I don't use 0.25 as I think they are too thick for most clients. I will use the 0.20 on clients with thicker natural lashes or I will use them to set my bones. I like to use 0.15 as my filler lashes. I think the nicest sets of lashes use a combination of thicknesses, curls (B & C) and lengths. I'm not crazy about sets that use all one size because they look like doll lashes. I like an enhanced natural lash look.

I'm sure if you mixed in some Cs your clients will be happy.

Thanks a lot for that, but, I am using Marvel Lash. I only have standard or extra volume lashes, I now use the latter. Other than that, its just the length that differs (7mm, 9mm, 11mm, 13mm). They don't do B's and C's... Which system do you guys use? x

The marvel lashes are very thin and flimsy, great for a very natural look but not good for the wow factor,
i too would use a mixture of 0.15 & 0.20 mm in thickness,
i use flirties lashes but there are lots on the market,
if you type in semi permanent lashes into google they all come up, hth

Thanks for that, I'll check it out :)
