Hi, Hope someone out there can give me a bit of advice, before I started in the buisiness myself I was using a nail tech who I thought was fully qualified I have since found out different..
My nails were left VERY thin and sore, my last visit to her was in December, to date some nails have grown and I have a free edge, but others are so thin that as they grow they just tear like tissue paper, and quite low down as well... Also my right thumb seems to be growing spoon shaped... I slather them daily in solar butter and solar oil.. is there anything else I can do.

I have to wear enhancements when I do my clients nails, I could imagine what they would think if they saw mine.

Thanks xxxx

how where your nails before you started having enhancements...?

Sometimes i think we forget how our own natural nails where...i know mine are rubbish...reason i started having them enhanced...

Have you had nothing at all on your nails since december...?

Any damage to the natural nail should grow out in approx 4-6 months...i think your doing the best you can with using the oil.

mY own nails before I was having them done were a bit flaky on the free edge but they were not thin at all.. I was wearing nno for a while till the thin part of the nail grew to about half way and it just started tearing, now I wear tips and gel..they are soooo much better thank they were its just as the free edge grows on about 4 of the nails it still tears cause its so thin.
I dont think I helped matters when I first started doing training...Ithink I over filed on a couple of nails that already had been without realising till it was to late

that'll do it...I think we all do it at first..

^yes we all did!!

but even if they're thin you can wear enhancement

Thank you, I usually do wear enhancements, but I have a course this weekend, so need to be 'au natural'.
The Nail I am most worried about is my right thumb, (one I didnt over file)
it seems to be growing with a crack down the nail

you could always use CND toughen up for thin nails as it Helps improve weak, thin nails, it also makes a great basecoat it boosts nail growth and its a highly concentrated nail fortifier that helps thicken the nail plate and corrects nail weakness. It hardens nails on the outside, makes the nails flexible on the inside. Increased flexibility and stops nails from breaking so they bend instead and use your solar oil many of us recommend it ..that will sort them out ..tbh mine were screaming for help after 11 years working as a nurse before my career change ..my nail tech sorted them out ..took a while though before i could have nail enhancements but i wouldn't be without my solar oil.
