Hi i am considering laying tiles in my kitchen but wanted to know how hard it is and any sneeky tips any of you have out there
Thanks

Are you talking about ceramic or vinyl tiles ?

hi it would be ceramic tiles. just the cost of having vinyl laid is rediculous

I think you would be better off with a professional TBH.

I've done vinyl ones but wouldn't tackle ceramic myself - good luck xx

I have done this in my small downstairs WC( i dabble in DIY)

floor has to be stripped and sanded down first before you place adhesive on the tile and lay each tile down ,then theres the filling in and wiping down, then you can't walk on it or place furniture back in for at least 24-48 hours till it's dry completely before attempting to give a wash.

messy job to be honest:)

o lay ceramic tiles either on your floor, the floor has to be levelled, because if it was'nt when you stand on the they may crack, if it is on the wall I am sure you start in the middle and work outwards.
For the floor you can buy a self levelling concrete, you mix it pour it on the floor spread it out and leave it to find it's own level............. and no I won't come and do it for you:)

aww are you sure maguire. no really guys thanks think it will be good old vinyl then. thanks for all your advice
