Timings for gel nails and some pics of first set ive done in years!!

Hi All,

Was just wondering how long a set of gels with tips takes everyone?

I have just started doing gels again after 4 years of just concentrating on l&p and then having bad allergic reaction to acrylic monomer, took me 1 hour 30 mins for first set, i have included a picture of before and after, some comments would be great please. I am going to do a course to refresh my skills in gel, as havnt done them for so long, not sure if techniques have changed much in that time?!

well looks much better then her original nails, i prefer french with tips cos looks better and clear over on the nat nails, but it looks fine, just the tip blended in and then the smile line can look like the tip is extended which you cant help with gel i'm afraid, but its nicely done well done!
like the pretty flower on thumb very cute.

maybe file the shape thin the side walls, and make the arch bigger more product there but else its perfect.

Thank you for your comments, they all really help. The lady i did them for had some nail stickers she wanted on for valentines so they are cheats i'm afraid!! They took me 1 hour 30 mins, so long since ive done gel, how long does everyone else take for gels? x :hug:

Thank you! There tips with gel overlay, been so long since i did them i forgot you could see the free edge under gel!!
