Tinting after lift?

do you remove the fixing lotion with water then tint. Or do you remove with dry cotton wool/ bud and tint. I remove the tint with water.

I remove with dry cotton bud

I remove with wet cotton pads so that it has all gone and the tint can then go straight on to the lashes
