Was just wondering, does anyone elses tip and dip go cloudy?
How do i solve this problem?
Thanks

Which tip & dip are u using?

Have you made sure that everything is clean ie; no powder has ended up on you're brush or in the resin.

How many tip and dips are there?

There are a few, I personally use Backscratchers so not really sure who else makes them but I know there are others.

With Backscratchers I use the spray can Extreme Dryer but if you use activator from a bottle make sure that that has no contamination either.

not 100% sure about it, but it is the method i think you're using, be carefull to remove the powder that doesn't "stick", unless it will result in clouds

I'm currently using 'The Edge' products for tip and dip. I remove all the excess powder but i just don't know why it goes wrong. Some nails are cloudier than others. The end result isn't as transparent and healthy looking as it should be. I was under the impression that the end result should be similar to uv gel or acrylic in the way they are transparent. I'm i right in thinking this?

Not actually sure about The Edge, but I certainly know that Backscratchers are clear and glassy - you should be able to see the lunula, as you say like UV gel.

If you are absolutely sure that everything is completely clean, then I really cant think of any reason why you're getting clouding. I suggest you speak to your trainer as they know their products inside out.

Sorry I cant be more help.

im getting the same problems.
some look perfect and others dont.
i am too using the edge but in past have tried backscratchers and they were perfect everytime.

im wondering if the problem is (4 me) its really hard to get the resin brush free from product.have seen you can buy the brushes new.
im going to invest in a few of these before i change my whole product range.:irked:

wish me luck

I've yet to see a brand of tip-n-dip that's "just as" clear as uv gel or L&P, but... I haven't seen them all.

Cloudiness usually results from there being too much powder. Dust some off before applying more resin.
Also, if your resin is contaminated with powder, that could cause it too.
After applying your resin to the powder, wipe the brush on a paper towel to remove any powder it might have picked up, before putting it back in it's bottle.

Absolutely, cloudines would be from excess powder or contamination - make sure your brush is really clean before returning to the bottle and gently tap off the excess. I dont think the nails from tip/dip are ever as clear as gel so dont worry.
