Hi guys

I hope I have put this is the right place.

What is the usual required for trade tests in a nail salon.

I have already done 3 sets of nail extensions and am going back to do more next week. At least 3 or 4 clients. And so are the other girls. It's just seems alot and unsure because work myself. It's just seems alot

advice appreciated

Well I agree with you! Looks to me like some salon owner is taking advantage of you and others and getting clients serviced for nothing. There is no need to do all that work, and I wouldn't take the job if it was offered as it says allot about the salon owner and how you will eventually be treated ... pretty outrageous really.

I have given many trade tests to prospective technicians in my time. My normal test was a. that they were CND trained or willing to convert totally
b. They had to do 2 or 3 nails on ME (not a full set) I can tell in a heartbeat if someone has what it takes or not nailwise.
c. Their personality had to fit in with the others in the salon
d. I required some personal references

Run away quick and don't do any more free work for her ... she is taking the p***

Thanks so much for your reply its most appreciated.

I was arguing with myself about it, although I had a fab time there but I was there all night with out a penny for me and again next week.

So thank you for your advice..
