Although I have been a member for a few months now, I have only ever posted one reply to a thread!!
I would like to introduce myself, my name is Georgie Smedley and I work for UBP (formerly known as United Beauty Products aka Star Nails etc!!) involved with Training and Product development. Yes, I was one of the lucky ones; I managed to keep my job. Unfortunately there were lots of members of staff that were made redundant, and as you can imagine, there couldnt have been a worse time for this to happen. As it was so rightly put by some of you, the blame does not lie with any of the staff, so for those of you out there that have lost money, I can only offer my sympathy and hope that moving forward, we can try to put things right. With this in mind, UBP Ltd are looking to try and run as many courses as possible for the trainees who have paid their money to United Beauty Products. Just to add some clarification, United Beauty Products no longer exists, so legally the trainees who paid money to them have lost it. UBP is a new company with new owners. They have kindly agreed to train people who have lost their money free of charge. This means that UBP are funding the courses in an attempt to assist those who have lost their fees including those part way through their training. If you are one of these people and havent heard from the department by the 25th January, please give them a call on 08456010196. Normal training will resume mid Feb.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me, I cant promise anything but where theres a will, theres a way!!
