AHHHHHhhhh help. I've just coloured my aunts hair. She has I'd say 70% Gray on roots with the rest coloured previously. She wanted a me to colour the roots and take the rest of the colour through the ends. We chose a warm 5. I used 20Vol Peroxide but it has really lifted the colour on the roots to a warm 7!!!!!!. Need to correct it for her in the morning!!!!! What should I use. Did I use too strong a peroxide??? Please help. Thanks x

The strength is fine just probably tough grey which has made it go translucent.

Pre-soften the grey roots with just 6%, heat it up a little with your dryer and then leave it for 10 mins. Then go in with your target colour making sure you put a base 5 in the mix at equal amounts with your warm 5. That should do the trick! :)

Thanks for that. Just so i'm clear... I put the 6% on neat, under the dryer then without washing it off apply the other colour with equal quantities of the warm brown and base 5. Many thanks
