Would like to know, after using a uv gel top coat, is using Solar Oil beneficial to the enhancements ??

Thanks

Hi hun yes using solar oil after you have applied the Uv Topcoat is great it keeps the enhancement flexable and keeps the natural nail hydrated which reduces the risk of lifting and curling.

I use solar oil in all my mail treatments and recommend my clients use it at least twice a day it makes such a difference when they use it.

Thanks Klassy... i do normally use it an recomend it, just thot with the gel tops coat being such a robust layer.. would solar oil penetrate thru ??

Dont wanna be pushing Solar Oil in this case if its not benefiting the client...as not all my cleints have a gel top coat ...

Hope that makes sense

xx

Hard Gel forms a very tight polymer network or 'mesh', so there is very little gap for water and/ or oils to penetrate. This is why you can not soak them off (the acetone will not penetrate the 'mesh) It will eventually work, but takes HOURS!

Cuticle oils obviously will suffer the same issue - They will help, but at a greatly reduced level - Also any with heavier oils will have even less effect...
However - Cuticle oils will still greatly help the skin condition and with the treatment of any exposed nail, and if enough is regularly applied it will have some minimal benefit to a Gel nail...

Obviously a gel top coat will form this tight polymer network over the top of the L&P - However I personally will always still recommend a cuticle oil even with a gel top coat

I hope that helps

Thanks for that Envy... exactly wot i wanted to know ..
