I have just started using gels and am using a small 9w lamp, however my clients are getting lifting and they are peeling, i have used both brisa and the edge gels and both are doing the same. could it be my lamp? I am mobile so prefer the smaller lamp, what curing time should be on a 9watt as opposed to a 36 watt lamp? i would be greatful for any help as i can't offer this service until i have cured my problem.:irked:

You need to use a lamp that goes with your system. PERIOD It is hazardous to health NOT to.

I also think you need some training. Cure times differ withdifferent gels. Again Systems!

Brisa will only cure with a Brisa UV Lamp and I'm sure if you had ever done a class with CND to learn about Brisa Gels you would be WELL aware of that. So it seems obvious to me that you have not had CND training and therefore must have obtained the gel not in the ordinary way.

Wattage has absolutely nothing to do with curing.

Plenty of info on this site about lamps and gels and I suggest you do a search using the search option above to learn more.

Why are you not using the correct lamp for the gel your using???
You are having problems and will continue to have them until you invest in the proper lamp.

thanks for your responses. i have had Creative training, its just my brisa lamp broke and was too big to carry around.

Well you will HAVE to get another one if you want to cure Brisa. I can not believe that you were not told that on ANY legitimate CND training. Where did you do your CND course? And who with? As for the lamp, it is one of the smaller lamps and is very light weight and easy to carry. In any case you have to have it if you want to use Brisa.

Hi,

Just wanted to check what the difference is with the Brisa Lamp, I have one myself, and if I can remember is it the phillips bulbs that are in it?

The shape of this lamp is great unlike any other i've seen.

Also will a 36 watt tunnel gel lamp cure most gels?

:)

CND Brisa is a cool cure gel compared to most ... therefore, it needs a higher UV output to cure it because there are less photo-initiators in it. The bulbs in the Brisa lamp are high emission UV bulbs.

Along with the high emission bulbs another thing of importance is the 'placement' of the bulbs within the lamp so that all nails get a complete cure. The BRISA LAMP IS RIGHT FOR BRISA GELS.

You can't say that any PARTICULAR lamp will cure most gels ... that is the whole point. If one just buys the darned lamp that goes with the system they are using and they are all set. If there were a problem and one was not using the correct UV lamp for the system of gel one was using, than I doubt if one would even be covered by their insurance in the event of a claim.

Why do people take such silly risks and try to buy cheap and have the stupidity to think they are getting the same thing as if they bought the whole system that was designed to go together? It is beyond me
