We have a Lidl store next to the salon.

Popped in today and picked up one of their forthcoming offer leaflets.

On page 4, in a UV Lamp, including 4 bulbs, and Gel nail kit for £29.99.

Those boots look good might have to check them out for winter.Never worry about DIY kits they are never any good and even if someone had a professional kit it's unlikely they will get a professional finish. As we all know it's not that easy;)

"Get a set of Gel Nails for a tenner"

there is all so a security light and carpet tape , security specialists and carpet fitters will not worry hun , nor shuld you!

anyone who wants to try doing there own nails , have or will try it anyway !
THAT WILL MAKE NO DIFFRENCE TO YOU , YOU HAVE A SALON WITH PROFETIONAL PRODUCTS AND TRAING ....(ooops caps lock was on )
boots , argos , most chemists have sold nail products for years ,
I really wouldnt think twice x

Typical, you can buy these almost anywhere now. It doesnt bother me. This sort of stuff is all over ebay so its readily available to anyone who wants it, but only a tiny minority are daft enough to give it a go, and they're not poaching customers away from your salon because the sort of person who buys these kits wouldnt dream of paying salon prices anyway.

I know what you mean about the "entrepreneurs" kicking out "nails for a tenner" leaflets, bu they're short lived and often end up visiting you to correct the mess that the ten quid nails has left them with

I bought something alike this a few years ago, it was horrible, my nails were horrible but it also brought my love of nails out and I went on to do proper training & using proper products, so it wasn't a total waste of money!! But I feel sorry for anyone who thinks they can do it! Nails are much harder than the professionals make it out to be!!

Just think that the people buying this and doing a crappy job and/or messing their nails might come to you to fix them ;)

So cheap, I guess the nails will look the same ;)x
