I thought that and thought they were all organic etc. I recently was looking at preservatives in my own solutions (the bain of my life!) and have been looking for an alternative than what my chemist currently uses.

I suggested he take a look at theirs and he did highlighting phenoxethanol, which is apparently the worse preservative to use, despite it being naturally derived. I googled it and its banned in cosmetic use in China. I only know what I have seen on the internet so I would advise doing your own research.

I have been recommending this product as I thought it was organic !

Other than that the products had some good reviews, looks really nice and well packaged.

Only has a 6 month shelf life so be careful not to stock too much if your just starting out.

And if anyone can tell me a safe preservative - would love to know!

xx

I have used Vani-T and have done so for about 5 years for clients who just won't have anything else and it is a fantastic product.

In terms of it only having a shelf life of 6 months - that is incorrect Kate as I have a bottle that is a lot older than that and it is still fine.

I was just quoting what there manual states with regards to the shelf life.

A lot of suppliers will put a shelf life on their products. It could be 3, 6 or 12 months with spray solution.
In reality though they will mostly last for 12 months and longer if stored correctly.
I was told Coco Bay would only last 3 months. I've had some for over a year and it's fine!
Manufacturers have to put an expiry date.
Tinned stuff always have an expiry date on but they will probably last for years :)

Hi, I use Vani-T and it is fantastic, they do not claim to be organic, but they are 100% natural with certified organic DHA and Aloe Vera. They have a great range as well. The Liquid Sun comes in 3 shades (6%, 8% and 12%), Fusion - for slightly reddier shade comes in 10%, and the new rapid tan Velocity - which got a fantastic write up from the beauty editor in Elle ELLE UK Blogs Beauty Notes Daily - Is this the best fake tan ever? -
I have been using the velocity tan recently and it really is fab. Do a search on here and you will find lots of info.

Good luck and let us know how you get on with the demo.

The expiry dates the best before with tanning products so long as they are kept adequatly. After this the DHA starts to deplete and you may find you don't get as good a strength of tan as before.

Also your preservatives, be they Parabens, Bromo, DMDM or Phenoxethanol also only keep killing micro organisms for so long before they too become inactive.

Once this occurs the micro organisms if there are any present, or after a year you decide to use the product from any manufacturer then once bacteria gets in it reproduces at an incredibly fast rate and can be dangerous to use.

So whilst your tin of beans are fine lol your tan solution contains lots of active ingredients that only work so long before stopping. Its a common misconception that tan is only off when it goes green. Tan that goes green, yes it is off, but thats another reason.

So do try to stick to your shelf life of your products if poss especially liquids. xx

I use Vani-t and love it. With regard to the shelf life, as already said if you store it correctly you will not have any problems, and to be honest, I'd never have a bottle on my shelf for 6 months!! Its that popular I go through loads. The preservative so I am told, is an amino acid system which is used in lots of natural skin care products.I think that you have to be careful on highlighting ingrediants to be unsafe in products. At the end of the day, if they where unsafe to use they would not be able to be used in cosmetics! I think if you looked and googled ingrediants in other brands you would be more shocked !!

I have researched vani-t and its ingredients and I feel 100% happy and confident. I have never had products on my shelf for longer than any a few weeks as it is so sought after by clients. I would recommend it to any one. I have met Laura and she gave me so much help and guidance you will love her. Enjoy x

I love the Vani-T products, the Velocity is going down an absolute storm with my clients. I haven't had problems with the shelf life of the products as I sell them quite quickly plus I get through the professional products in no time. I have used other tanning products in my salon and most will recommend a shelf life of 6 months once opened, so to me this seems to be quite standard.

I highly recommend Vani-T and I have used a lot of different tanning products in my time but this definatley ticks all the boxes when looking for a natural golden colour that fades really well and has hardly any smell.

We love Vani-t tans and all their products here too.

The Liquid Sun original solution is available in the 8% & 12% in Australia, no more 6%.

Fusion solution is 10%.. Only just got this and havent tried it yet.

Velocity is 12% .. Sprayed clients on Saturday with this solution & it was left on for an hour and a half before they went to a wedding..
They loved it and all commented on how natural the colour is & how none of them had that just had a spray tan smell..

would love to try them but noone has contacted me back l got told my details were being passed on but still waiting three weeks later!!!!

Hello! I too use Vani-T and have amazingly good results with both the salon tans and the Bodywear retail products. It is great to know it is 100% natural ingrediants unlike any other tan on the market. I have never had a problem with the shelf life and as someone stated i never have a bottle opened and not used within a month anyway!
