I have an elderly client who has a wart on her finger right where I hold it.

Could I catch it?

Warts are contagious. If you want to do the service then the wart should be covered with a plaster or tape and you wear protective gloves if possible.

Simply touching a wart on someone doesn't guarantee that you'll get one, too. But the viruses that cause warts are passed from person to person by close physical contact.

Thank you. I have already seen her a couple of times, how can I broach the subject now:o without causing embarrassment to us both?

It will be more embarrassing if you get a wart from her. Tell her you'll put a piece of protective wrapping on it just to be on the safe side as some warts are easily spread.
