Warts & all!

Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum, and newly qualified as a nail tech!

I had a day's salon experience the other day, and a girl came up to me whose hands were covered in warts, all round her nails. I didnt want to touch them for fear of getting infected, and I have read that you shouldnt treat hands that are affected by a condition. Is this right or should I have done her nails?
