Watermarking pictures

Im in need of some help on how i go about watermarking my pictures. What programme do you use (im looking for a free one!)

Im not very tech minded so one that is a simple as possible would be fab:lol:

The only one I know of and the one I use is the Salon Alchemy programme which is actually a website by our own Ruth Mills. It's dead simple to use.
