I've just discovered some of my favourite costume jewellery in a box. Trouble is, it was a box full of beauty stuff, including a damaged pot of wax which leaked over everything. I was about to chuck it away with the rest of the stuff but wondered if any geeks know a way to clean it up without damaging it. As I said, it's only costume jewellery so I'm not sure if I can soak it in anything too harsh. Seems a shame to bin it without attempting to rescue it. Any ideas?

can you warm it up so the wax melts off it??

When I spill candle wax on stuff I get it off by carefully pouring boiling water over it and it melts the wax off.

Have you tryed using some oil( i.e. almond oil, or equipment cleaner) to break down the wax from the jewelry?

Warm up the wax first to maybe reduce the bulk wipe then use your oil to clean it off! (just a thought)!

Luv 'n' hugs

Thanks guys, good ideas. I'll give them a go & see if anything works.
