I was taught that you should get a doctors note/letter if someone has diabetes, so no, I wouldn't wax someone who had indicated they were diabetic unless their doc said it was ok.
I was taught very similar, i think the main problem is that there is normally loss of skin sensation to people with diabetes,therefore they cant tell you if the wax is too hot or if their skin has become uncomfortable during the treatment etc.
Also they are more prone to infection and bruises etc.
Most clients who have diabetes know they are not to have wax treatments or know they would need a medical note before hand.
The fact is that you can probably wax anyone with any condition and it'll be fine. However, for insurance purposes, you would need a letter from their doc to say you can go ahead. xx
