Waxing from home?

Hi Everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone has had any success opening a home salon and just offering waxing and lash and brow tints? I have a Cert III in beauty services and am about to start the Diploma of Beauty Therapy but need extra money to help pay for it! I have 2 little girls and cant afford child care so this is my only option work wise and I have all the equipment and a spare room with floorboards so that isnt an issue.

Please tell me its not just wishfull thinking! lol

Hiya

I don't have a home salon, but I am mobile. I hardly get any lash and brow tints. My biggest sellers are mani's and pedi's, waxing and massage. I think if was going to another course other than waxing it'd be mani/pedi. I'm telling you as soon as the sun comes out my phone is ringing for pedicures!! hth xx

Im qualified to do mani pedi but i might do a spray tan course.

I believe that you can be a success at anything if you're excellent at what you do. If you on;y want to do those treatments, then get the word out there that you specialise in those treatments. Make sure that you're so good at what you do that they will choose to come to you rather than go to a salon. Good luck xx
