Waxing qualification

Hi,
I'm a male massage therapist and i am looking to do a waxing course so i can offer an add on service. I have seen that the carlton institute offers a one day waxing course designed for men, has anyone done it that can give me feedback? Also, you finish with a carlton institue diploma but can pay extra and do a bit more home study and have the IHBC qualification, is this worth doing and how much extra is it?

Hi I think these courses are great for certain things, waxing being one of them. It's something that you need to be shown the teqhnique and then you can go away and perfect it on some willing friends, go back and get the further qualification to give you more confidence. When you have got the hang of it and had loads of practice I would highly recommend doing a further course with Kim on hear The wax queen!!! She can really help with confidence and speeding up your waxing.
Waxing is a great tretment to offer, it is definately my bread and butter!Hth.x

I also am a massage therapist and did a one day waxing course, and then had lots and lots of practice, and then did a one to one training course with Andy (Axiom) for Male Intimate Waxing. Now, waxing is very definately one of my top treatments for the guys who come to me. I also offer Environ Ionzyme Vitamin Treatment Facials, Reiki, Hopi Ear CAndling, Massage, body hair clipping/grooming etc.

I definately think it is a road you should at least explore - see how you get on with it, and if you like it, then you can go as far as you like with it.

I give my students the choice of doing their Absolute Beginners Speed Waxing Course and Advanced Speed Waxing Course with just male models, just female models or both. No point in wasting your money.

Then, if they want to, they go on to do Male Intimate waxing with me.

As an aside, I specialise in male waxing (not just training), and almost all of my clients are men. I wax every part of the body and ALL of my clients come to me for Extreme Waxoing (Intimate waxing).
