does anyone do mobile waxing and without a couch , if so do clients lay on beds or floor etc:hug:

:) Hi I do a fair bit of waxing, and to be honest would find it way to hard on my back if they werent on a couch.
Also looks a bit more proffesional to use a couch too. Have you looked on ebay or in the free adds, thats where i got mine from?
Sorry not to be more helpful.

sorry, meant to say i would use one but someone i know does not x

I am doing treatments without a couch at the moment as i have busted my back with the damn thing!
I'm doing the treatments on the clients bed and just laying lots of towels down. This is a short term thing until i open up my home salon.
I do find it more professional with a couch and it's much better for you not to be bending over the clients bed. My clients actually prefer the way i'm doing it now though.
What is the reason you dont want to use a couch?
If you do decide to buy one then please dont make the same mistake as i did and get one that is twice your body weight lol You can get lighter ones.

Just out of interest, how heavy was the couch that you used previously. I am thinking of getting one but the ones I have seen have a net weight of 17 kg which I think is pretty heavy, especially as I have a bit of a dodgy back. I have seen lighter ones but they are more expensive.

I really really recommend a therapist couch for waxing in order to preserve one's back and one's professionalism.

This being said, at the beginning of my training, I had to send my new beauty couch back to Salon's Direct as it was slightly defective. Had a waxing client (she's a friend and it was for practise purposes only), so with no couch I used my dining table . Oh, the things that my dining table has been used for :wink2:.
