Hi, I'm very new to nails and Ive been practising gel on myself. I used bond aid followed by a base layer of Dream sculpter gel and 2 layers of Dream uniphase. I really like these products as I find them easy to use. Since I removed the gel though I've found that my nails are really thin and flexible and they are splitting and breaking a lot. My nails are very short and I'm keeping them that way so that I don'tcatch them and do further damage. Can anyone recommend anything I could use to get some strength back into my nails? Thank you in advance

If your nails are weak, then it is not the gel which has caused it. You have been over filing them or you have removed the gel incorrectly.

The best way to pamper your nails is to overlay them again with this gel and then leave them alone for 3-4 months just rebalancing when necessary.

An overlay is the best protection for nails there is if you're trying to grow out damage.

I could only resommend to do a natural nail overlay with silk and gel. And wait till the 'weakness' grows out.

You could do a NNO with any system and wait until the damage grows out.:green:

True, but my experience tells me that silk is particularly ''benign'' when it comes to weak and thin nails. ;)

Well my experience is that they all work.

I've never found one system that is more 'benign' than another ... but whatever ... they all work you have the gel so go to it ... and no more filing.
